This policy describes how the SIC & GIC website handles information when you visit, join the community email list, or follow registration and contact links.
Information this website processes
The public informational pages do not require an account. The SIC country selector and safety acknowledgement are processed in your browser only to display the appropriate registration route.
Newsletter subscriptions
If you choose to subscribe, we save your email address, current grade or education level, subscription date, and the version of the consent notice in our hosted database. You may select “Prefer not to say” for your education level. The second email entry is used only to check for typing mistakes and is not stored separately. Authorized SIC & GIC managers use the list to send newsletters with news, program updates, and investment education insights. We may maintain a copy in a restricted Google Sheet for newsletter administration. Subscribing does not create a user account or enroll you in a competition. We do not sell this list. To unsubscribe or request removal, email gicwins@gmail.com from the address you used to subscribe. We retain the subscription until you request removal or the list is no longer needed for this purpose. Earlier registrations for online-access updates are not treated as newsletter consent unless you subscribe again.
Email and registration
If you choose to contact us by email, your email provider and the receiving organization will process the information you include. Registration completed on an external website is governed by that website’s privacy policy.
Technical information
Our hosting provider may process standard technical information—such as IP address, browser type, device information and request logs—to operate and secure the website. We apply data minimization and do not enable location tracking, behavioral profiling or targeted advertising through this site.
External links
The site links to third-party resources, registration services and publications. Their privacy practices are independent of ours, and you should review their policies before providing personal information.
Children and students
Students under 18 should review registration with a parent, guardian or educator before continuing. Children under 13 must not submit their own email through the community form; a parent or guardian should join using their own email address. Children under 13 must not submit personal information directly through email or an external registration service without the involvement and permission of a parent, guardian or authorized school representative. Do not email sensitive personal, financial or identification information.
